SOCIALMETRIX GOT AN SPECIAL NOMINATION AT THE RED INNOVA STARTUPS COMPETITION

Its been almost two years since we (the SocialMetrix founders) talked for first time about developing a reporting platform based on what people are saying on the Internet. It was a long road until today. Things where normally different of what we were thinking and contingency plans became part of our normal planning but what never chanced in all this time was the final objective and our passion. Today, I’m very glad to announce that SocialMetrix is finalist at the Red Innova Startups contest. But in my humble opinion, bloggers MUST assume! Everyday, every post. ASSUME that your blog will be read by your friends, family and everybody else you have ever known. ASSUME that if you’re writing under a pseudonym, you will be found out. ASSUME that if you’re posting to your blog at work, your boss is on to you; it could cost you your job. ASSUME that there’s no such thing as an anonymous comment.

Finally Yahoo! Launched its 9.5 version, which is the first Yahoo! Version of Indextools. This version is full of Dennis Mortensen touches something normal since the project is still under his hands. The first thing that you note when you login this new version is that the entire front end looks much more sexy.  The “landing page” has a Line Chart with Visits, Visitors and Pageviews. At the botom you will find the numbers of Visit, Visitors, Page Views, Avg. Page Views, Av. time spent on site, Bounce Rate and New Visits. Then you will be surprised by the new report menu. When I say a new report menu I mean, on one hand it has a different distribution of current reports and on the other hand
